What is free and what requires Pro?
In LevelMate 3.0, measurement of both axes and spoken guidance on a single iPhone are free. Apple Watch, second-iPhone and iPad receiver modes require Pro. Receivers also speak the instructions. An iPad does not measure by itself.
Do I need a separate sensor or an account?
No. LevelMate by Remo Adams-Schönfeld uses the sensors built into your iPhone. No account or separate sensor is needed. LevelMate Pro is this app’s in-app unlock. This independent app is separate from the LevelMatePRO hardware system and does not connect to its sensors.
Which devices are supported?
You need iOS 26.2+, iPadOS 26.2+, watchOS 26.2+. The iPhone measures. A paired Apple Watch, second iPhone or iPad can receive guidance with Pro. Install and keep LevelMate open on both devices you use.
How does the Pro purchase work?
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase without a subscription. The app and Apple’s purchase sheet show the current price and any available introductory offer before you buy. Both offers unlock the same Pro features.
I already bought LevelMate. Do I need to pay again?
No. Customers who bought the previous paid app keep Pro. Use the same Apple Account and, if needed, choose Restore purchases in Settings. Purchasing may be disabled while the app checks your status. Wait for the result or restore your purchase with an internet connection.
How do I place my iPhone in the caravan or trailer?
Place it screen down on a firm, stable surface, with the top edge towards the drawbar. Leave it there while measuring. LevelMate guides you side to side first, then front to back. Left and right refer to the direction of travel towards the drawbar.
How do I calibrate LevelMate?
Calibration is normally unnecessary. For a fixed mount, first establish that the caravan is level with an independent reference. In Settings, select Set current position as zero. The zero point is saved. Use Reset calibration after changing the supporting surface. Saving a tilted position as zero does not make the caravan level.
What do the angles and Almost level mean?
Displayed angles round to 0.5° steps. Internally, below 0.3° counts as level and below 1.0° as almost level. These fixed thresholds are shown in Settings and cannot be adjusted. Display rounding and status thresholds are not a guarantee of sensor accuracy. The surface and saved zero point affect the measurement.
Why can I not hear instructions?
Keep LevelMate open and check device volume and the selected audio output. Bluetooth headphones can route instructions elsewhere. Check the selected device mode. For Watch or second-device use, the measuring iPhone must be ready and connected. There is no separate speech switch in the app settings.
The second device does not appear. What can I do?
Open LevelMate on both devices. Select the measuring iPhone as sender and the other iPhone or iPad as receiver. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and allow local network access. Select the partner device. Use the in-app retry or connection help if needed.
Does LevelMate work without internet or campsite Wi-Fi?
Yes. Measurement and direct device communication need neither internet access nor a campsite router. Keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled for the link between two devices. Downloads, purchases, restoration and enabled usage analytics may use the internet.
Which languages does the app support?
The app interface and spoken guidance support German and English, following your device language settings. App Store descriptions in other languages do not add interface or spoken-guidance languages.
How do I start another measurement?
When completion is displayed, select Measure again. Check both axes again after moving the caravan or the iPhone. Keep the phone steady and LevelMate open during measurement.
What happens to my data?
The app processes measurements on your devices. Usage analytics through TelemetryDeck is enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings. The privacy policy explains how the app and website handle data.
